Little Meads School, Wootton Bassett

The school opened in the Manor House in 1924 to 'prepare the sons of gentlemen for the Public Schools and the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth'. The first headmaster was Captain Eric Fenn but in 1926 the head was J.E. Whittaker who advertised that the school had a staff of Cambridge graduates. In 1928 the owner and headmaster was Major Christian Weiss Cranko. The school closed in the early 1930s.
