Dissenters' School Maddington, Shrewton

In the Warburton census of schools it is recorded that there was a Dissenters' School in 1858. It was held in a former chapel that was in 'inefficient condition'. There were about 30 pupils with some coming from Orcheston and Winterbourne Stoke. There are no further records and there is the possibility that this school was moved to a building in Shrewton and became the British School there.
