This began as a nursery school in September 1941 under Miss Burden at Pewsey Vicarage. The school was in the High Street from 1954 to 1984, with a maximum of 75 children aged between 3 and 8 years. The running of the school had been transferred to a charitable trust in 1976 and, in 1984, they, with the backing of the parents, transferred the school to Haybrook House in 1984. In 1990 Travancore House was acquired to accommodate older children (8+). In 1997 there were about 200 pupils aged from 2 to 13 years. The school is an independent, co-educational, day school and its catchment area is the whole of mid Wiltshire. In 2003/4 there were 123 boys and 123 girls at the school.
