In 1858 between 30 and 40 children were being taught by a certified mistress. It was said that the 'desks, furniture, books and apparatus are fair, discipline good, method fair and improved' a better report than that of the National School. In 1871 there was accommodation for 30 children but by 1888 they were being educated at the Board, formerly the National, School.
