Etchilhampton

WELCOME to the online edition of ‘Etchilhampton: A Village Portrait’ written by Dorothy Robertson.  It recorded the growth and changes that took place in the village from the mid-19th century to the millennium. It is now out of print but has been revised on line to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee*.  Thanks to the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, the Etchilhampton Village History Project has been able to publish this history online for present and future generations.

The original structure is broadly followed but omits village properties for reasons of data protection.  An illustrated snapshot of house histories will be included.
