From a typed transcription marked, 'Alfred Williams note-book page 58.' It also bears a handwritten note, 'G Couling, Kempsford. Other songs noted by Williams refer to an L Couling of Kempsford.
The chorus or refrain finishes with 'etc' in the note so it may mean that it is repeated or is a fragment.
