Title
Down in Moorfields
Singer
Sawyer, David [Phoebus]
Notes
Note 1

Williams, Alfred: WGS: An old song, that was sung to a plaintive melody. I have heard of it but near the Downs of Wiltshire. Obtained of David Sawyer.

Note 2

This is from a section of the Bathe Clissold Index which states that it is:

'A list of songs known to have been noted by Williams - vide his own 'List of songs copies' [from his notebooks] - the manuscripts of which are no longer extant. [The original owners of Williams' manuscripts destroyed a number of song texts thinking they were on no use.]

I have continued the numbering sequence adopted by Bathe Clissold to encompass these songs.
