Williams, Alfred: Ms / WGS / FSUT: 'The following seems to have been local to the North Wiltshire Downs. I have not heard of it in Gloucestershire or Oxfordshire, though it may have been sung there. Obtained of David Sawyer, the sheep shearer, who sang it at the shearing feasts every year about the Downside.'
