In Verse 1 lines 1 to 3 the original text read:
It's of a young squire in Ipswich did dwell.
There was a young lady the squire loved well,
And soon to get married it was his intent
In Verse 2 line 4 the original text read:
Her heart was inflamed and aloud she did cry
In Verse 4 Line 3 the original text read:
She hunted all where the young farmer did dwell
In Verse 7 Line 2 the original text read:
'Tis certain the squire would never approve
In Verse 7 Line 4 the original text read:
By honour I'll gain her or die at her command
